No matter how better your marketing strategies are if your site isn’t prominent in search results, your company or brand will hit a hard time in growing. So, you must ensure that you have optimised your websites for the search engines well for the most effective free and organic traffic. That’s called SEO. Search engine optimisation is optimising your website for the search engines. Well, we can’t say it is free, as it demands some effort. We have to give it our most valuable time, but the time we pay for the SEO always pays us back.
What is SEO?
Seo is organising and structuring our website for maximum search engine visibility. In simple terms, if you’re performing SEO well, you’ll get good placement in the SERPs (search engine result pages). SEO attracts visitors to our website via search engines. So, this traffic is completely organic. The traffic we get from SEO is organic which comes by using their own search terms and methods, so it’s inbound. We neither direct them, nor does it comes from a different website, and last but not least, it also didn’t come by clicking a link on any social media platform. So, if you’re able to provide what people are asking, you’re the King in your Niche.
SEO only affects organic traffic, so while performing any type of SEO traffic, consider only organic traffic.
Just do it properly and efficiently, you are going to build a fortune by performing the tactics mentioned in this blog post. Well, you’ll know about everything that is necessary for search engine optimisation. We’ll cover everything step by step to take you deeper and deeper by making you understand all the concepts. Let’s befriend the types of SEO.
Types of SEO
To understand the search engine optimisation properly we divide it into the following types: –
- On-Page SEO: – On-Page SEO is all about optimising the content on the website. Content means texts, images, and videos that we’ve used on the pages of the website. When we optimise the content on the web pages, it’s called on-page SEO. It’s done at both content level and code level. The content is optimised keeping the visitors in mind, and also their search intent. On-page SEO is a reliable factor in search engine indexing.
It’s further divided into two parts, the first is called keyword related On-Page SEO, and the second is Non-Keyword related “On-Page SEO.”
- Keyword related On-Page SEO: – In this user’s search intent matter, we should include the keywords which people are searching for on the search engines. Content is the primary factor in the keyword related on-page SEO. Content should have some depth. It should be relevant, unique, trustworthy, and authoritative. We should use synonyms, combinations of words, and words related to the user’s search. We include Meta and other tags in this keyword related On-Page SEO.
- Non-Keyword related On-Page SEO: – It’s the part of the SEO where content doesn’t matter, but the optimisation and how it’s being structured matters.
- Page Load Speed: – It’s the biggest factor to performing the website well, as whenever we put any terms in the search engine, it crawls the websites, and after that, the crawler index the website by passing them through different 200+ factors, then the websites are being ranked on the search engine results pages. So, the website which is being crawled and indexed first will rank higher than others.
- Page URL Structure: – Page URL should be short and elaborative. URL should contain the topics, and headlines you’re using on the page.
- Page Structure: – Page should be user friendly, and the navigation should be easy. If the navigation should be easy then users will be able to access any type of content easily, and will not become frustrated. It should be congested, as the users will not find it attractive, and leave the website. So, don’t provide so much information in a single section.
- Mobile Responsive: – As page should be mobile responsive. Google also has shifted its crawler to mobile, as Google is getting most of somewhat 80% of its traffic through smartphones. We should also optimise our website for mobile phones so that we’ll not lose any kind of traffic. If the website isn’t mobile-friendly users also get irritated. This is the most important factor in the On-Page SEO.
- Off-Page SEO: – Off-Page SEO also imparts the same amount of value as the On-Page SEO. It refers to all the measures we take outside the website to improve the authority and ranking of the website in the search engine result pages. For building the authority we use Link Building Process. As we all know a crawler is a software or mechanism that crawls websites from all over the world. So, when it crawls it crawls the URL of the page, which means the crawler navigates through the links. So if we build more links to our website then it’ll be easier for a crawler to crawl and rank our website. So, we should focus on back-linking to our website. A backlink is an incoming link to our website. It’s one of the ranking factors in Google search results(out of 200+ others). We should always link our website to high authoritative websites. Always build good backlinks.
- Local SEO: – Our On-page and off-page SEO is performing well but if we perform local SEO also, then it can give a boost to the immune system of the website. Well, local SEO is optimising your website for the local audience, the people who’re living nearby your physical store locations. If we have a physical location then targeting locals can be more beneficial than general traffic. Because 60% of all Google searches are for local businesses, and 80% out of those searches results in offline purchases. In other words, Local SEO is a more extended form of Off-Page and on-page SEO in targeting local clients through search engine optimisation.
- Technical SEO: – Technical SEO is the last aspect we’ve included in this blog post regarding SEO. In the technical SEO, we should ensure that our website is mobile-friendly or not by inspecting URLs in Google Search Console. We should check our site’s loading speed, and optimise the content according to the measurements we get. It also inspects whether our website is using HTTPS or not. HTTPS shows that our website is using a secure protocol over the internet. If there’s any broken URL and the search engine isn’t able to crawl some URL, then they’re being fixed under technical SEO. Also, Page depth is included in this part of the SEO. Basically, technical SEO is the more extended form of On-Page SEO in the technicalities of the website.
Basically, SEO can be described as two types first is On-Page and the second is OFF-Page, but to make you clear understand we’ve specialised SEO in four parts. While performing the SEO tactics, and for some other reason we face so many errors on the website which are also being fixed through the SEO.
5 Types of Errors in SEO
HTTP Status Code shows the errors in SEO. There’re 5 types of HTTP Status Codes that depict different errors on the website on the basis of their criteria.
The different types of HTTP status codes are following: –
- 1xx: – These status codes are informational codes in nature. These codes don’t have any real-world impact on SEO.
- 2xx: – 2xx codes are success codes. These codes tell us that a request to the server was successful. These are most visible on the server-side, visitors will never see this status code.
- 3xx: – these are redirection codes. These codes denote redirects. 3xx redirects are an important part of preserving SEO value. These can also explain to Google whether or not a page redirect is permanent, temporary, or otherwise. These redirects can be used to denote pages of content that are no longer needed.
- 4xx: – Client Error Codes, Any codes that fail to load on the client-side. These codes tell us if something isn’t loading and why it is not loading. In the error message, there is a subtle difference between each code, but the end result is always the same. While performing any website audit these error codes should be one of the first things assessed and fixed.
- 5xx: – Server Side Error Codes, any codes that fail to load due to a server error. These codes show that there is something wrong on the server-side. Something is preventing the full processing of the request from the server-side. In these cases, the page doesn’t load and isn’t available for the user. This is also a big problem like 4xx in SEO that needs to be fixed quickly yourself or by taking help from your hosting provider or technical experts.
We’ve discussed the errors that need to be fixed in the site audit of any website. These impact so much on SEO. If they are not being fixed on time, they can break down the complete traffic of the website.
Well, we’ve discussed so much about SEO, its types, and errors, I think it’s time to put some light on the benefits of SEO. I also like benefits the most, so let’s discuss

- Attract Traffic to the Website: – As we’ve already discussed that SEO provides organic traffic on the basis of the terms people use while searching for something.
- Build Brand Awareness: – SEO helps in building brand awareness, as whenever we’re searching for any term if our website or content shows up then it’s a good sign for our brand. It signifies that the particular term that was searched for in the content is also related to our business.
- Establish Your Brand Expertise: – We can establish our brand expertise through SEO by performing well on search engine result pages (SERPs). After performing local SEO we can show the local customers that we’re the brand expertise in the particular field you’re searching for in our locality.
- Build a Dedicated FanBase: – SEO drives inbound traffic, we get the users who are putting the query themselves. If they find our content valuable then they start trusting us that we’re unique in the market. Thus, we can create a dedicated FanBase.
- Better Social Media Presence: – By implementing different social media SEO tactics we can organically grow our social media. Some social media use hashtags to reach more clients.
